Antique Victorian Mahogany Chest of Drawers

Large antique Victorian mahogany chest of drawers in lovely original condition. This is definitely one of the better quality versions of this type of chest. It has a solid mahogany top, round corners, mahogany bun handles, locks on all the drawers & very deep graduated drawers. The bottom drawer actually comes out joined to the plinth, so there is no wasted storage space. There are also flat bun feet at the base. The drawer bottoms are solid too. This chest dates from around the 1860-80 period, so there are naturally various old marks, indentations, etc, so don't expect it to look new, but it is in good condition & structurally sound, with drawers that work.

Set of 8 Antique Georgian Style Mahogany Dining Chairs

This set of eight mahogany chairs still have the original brown leather drop in seats. These chairs are antique Georgian style, with the wheat sheaf design at the top of the shield backs. They have tapered spade end legs that are joined together with 'H' framed cross stretchers, which give the chairs more stability. There are six chairs plus two carvers, all in good original condition, with plenty of character & I would say they date from the 1930-50's period.

Antique Victorian Carved Walnut Chaise Lounge

This antique Spoon back Victorian Chaise Lounge is one of the nicest I've come across. It's solid walnut, beautifully shaped & carved, with cabriole feet & original white porcelain casters. It's in lovely original condition, dating from around the 1840-60 period & has just been re-upholstered professionally in a neutral coloured fabric, with deep buttoning on the back. I've noticed on the fourth image (a close up of the back) it looks like there's a strange pattern on the fabric, but that's just a bad photo. If you look at the next image you can see that the fabric is fairly plain. This kind of chaise normally has more upholstery & less wood.

Set of 6 Antique William IV Rosewood Dining Chairs

Exquisite set of six William 1V (1830-40) dining chairs, in good original condition, with plenty of character. They have good carvings on the back rails & the front legs have that typical William 1V tulip design. These chairs are just as I acquired them, the polish being a little worn & faded in places, but nothing that bad. Besides they have a great colour & patina, so I didn't want to spoil that. The drop in seats were tatty, so we had them recovered in calico, which to be honest has already got a few dust marks from our warehouse. These seats can be recovered for £15 each plus fabric. They are sturdy, with no obvious repairs. This particular model are becoming increasingly hard to find.
