This is a very impressive large high antique bookcase in solid mahogany. It's wonderful quality & quite high. I would say it dates to around the 1890-1910 period & it's in great original condition. It has a dental mouldings under the cornice, the top doors have astral glazing with adjustable shelves inside, there are two drawers in the middle with brass handles & the bottom section is deeper, so providing extra storage space. Antique bookcases as nice as this, in this condition are getting extremely hard to find.

This antique Regency style mahogany bookcase is very impressive & has a lot of style. Take a good look at all of the amazing features & enlarge all of the images to appreciate the quality. The astral glazing on the top doors is very striking. Behind these doors are adjustable shelves. The bottom cupboards have wonderful mouldings & there are two more shelves inside this part. Beneath this there is a shaped base & splayed feet. This very elegant bookcase is in good original condition & has working locks on the doors. There is a small piece of wood missing on the side of one of the feet, but that is hardly noticeable & all part of the character. I would say it dates to around the 1910-30's period, but it is really difficult to date exactly because it's a bit of a one off.

Antique burr walnut tall, slim open bookcase in lovely condition, with adjustable shelves. This bookcase has been reconstructed from antique wardrobes, pianos, etc., by a top cabinet maker, The burr walnut veneers are of excellent quality & the sides are solid timbers. To look at, you would think this bookcase is totally original, because of the way it's are constructed. I do have other similar ones & matching smaller pairs also, so please check my other items. These bookcases are exceptional quality & are not easy to get hold of because of the scarcity of decent old wood. Also, because of their popularity, I have been getting them made to order. Please do not confuse these with the other inferior models that are floating around.

Very nice practicable yew wood cupboard bookcase, with two astral glazed doors on top, between which in an open bookshelf section. The bottom four door section is deeper, thus providing lots of storage space. There is one shelf inside each bottom cupboard. There are also three drawers between top & bottom. It's antique Georgian style, about 50 years old & has many nice features, so please enlarge all the images. I have seen quite a few of these models on the market with this type of middle section, but this one is more pronounced then most with good mouldings & is good quality. It has been given a polish too. The grain & pattern of the yew wood is really good.
